A few words about us
The Cooperative House Building Society of the Employees of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, was registered on 19th July 1971 with the objective of providing organized residential facilities to university employees through collective efforts. In 1984, private land was acquired at Chak No. 196/R.B., Faisalabad, and the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) subsequently issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the housing scheme, later named University Town. To ensure quality development, the Society entered into an agreement with M/S Khyaban Enterprises for infrastructure works in accordance with FDA “A” Class specifications. These works included construction of roads, laying of sewerage and water supply lines, and an overhead reservoir. Upon completion, the developed colony was handed over to the Society, and residential plots were allotted to members in 1984–85 under an installment plan. In subsequent years, the Society continued to upgrade civic facilities in phases. Electrification was initiated in 1986 and completed in 2005, followed by the provision of natural gas in 2006. Sewerage lines and the boundary wall were completed in 2010, carpeted roads in 2013, and the layout plan was formally approved by FDA in 2017 with a revised LOP in 2018. Today, University Town stands as a well-planned, secure, and fully developed residential society offering all essential civic amenities, including electricity, drinking water, sui gas, sewerage system, boundary wall, carpeted roads, developed parks, a children’s playground, mosque, public office, and reserved land for a graveyard, community centre, dispensary, and school. The Society remains committed to continuous improvement and the provision of a modern, comfortable, and community-oriented living environment for its residents.
